Craigs List has a md for sale (GTI2500) with the New Eagle Eye attachment that will go 15' deep and another Garrettthat has the Depth Doubler that reaches 12'........in the East Texas section........East Texas Metal Detectors. I'm a newbe but is this something I have missed?

I believe what your describing is a garrett 2500 + an attachment that makes it a 2 box style detector(designed to detect large objects at depth).

Dale is correct. In fact with most of the deep seekers including the more conventional coiled pulse machines great depth can be obtained but at the cost of sensitivity. Often an item any smaller than the size of a your fist can't be located so forget coin hunting.
