Hit a good spot in an older part of Des Moines last weekend. Found this cool Fare token for the Des Moines Railway Company. Saw one on ebay and it said 1948. The barrett, which I thought was junk turned out to be sterling silver.

What you have is a trolley bus token.
The Des Moines trolley bus system began in 1938 and lasted to 1964. The buses were called Curbliners.
