Can anyone reccomend someone for repair of older Compass X-100 metal detector?

I have used this person two other times for the same repair. The last time it took almost 3 months to get my detector back.
Since then I have heard alot of negative feedback about them. I was just wondering if anyone else in the U.S. works on older detectors?

Sound like FMDAC henchmen to me, times sure have changed over the last 20 years.

never mind that, was researching why the guy above you said not to go there. I didn't know the guy that owns that repair shop was the vice president of the F.M.D.A.C. I can't imagine him being shady, rather has health issues.

I was told it should be finished in a week . He kept my detector for 9 weeks & didn't touch it. Got ill when I told him to just send it back to me.

I used him on my Compass he had my detector for about 5 weeks and when i got it back it still did the same thing it did when i sent it ….. But he does have older Garrett parts like coils you can not get any were else..

Yeah, I had heard a couple years ago he was having some health issues. Like I said I had used him twice in the past. Repair was done. but I keep having the same issue. A loose wire somewhere to the meter. I was just wondering if anyone else did work on them I have never seen any advertising it.
