Sweeeeeeeeet finds

Good Hunting there CA. Very Nice!

when you think you have hammered all the cellarholes in your area - hit the old dirt roads going to and around them
I made a killing in coins hitting the roads leading to worked out cellarholes - guys never thought of doing them
just think of men on horse back bouncing up and down - coins must have easily fallen out of their pockets
plus being dirt - when there was rain or snow and you dropped something back then - it was gone
Nice finds!

Wowzer !! That is one sweet silver road. Nice finds. Hope that road runs for miles for you!

road bed

Thank you Erik, The road is now all farm fields , I found it on a 1870 map , by looking at it it just appears to be just a field but if you dig down about 5 inches there is a bed of oyster shells , so far I have gotten tons of buttons and a few nice coins , so I look forward to going back there soon.
