I went detecting at Enoshima beach today, which is in Japan. I found acouple 10 yen coins, two 1 yen coins, and the find that made my day, an old Japanese coin called "Kuan-ei-tsu-ho" in very good condition. My guess is that it was made probably in the 18th century, but it beats me why it's in such good condition.

That's a nice coin, good work!

I've always wondered, are there many older silver coins to be found in Japan?
