Detecting in the Dead Sea?

I am looking at taking the family on a 10 day group tour of Israel. One of the stops is listed as " exclusive access to enjoy the healing powers of the Dead Sea " First, can I get the Xcal Ect. into the country without confiscation. Second, I'm sure they are sensitive about people digging old stuff, but would anyone there care about water hunting a Dead Sea resort? Lastly, would the high salt content of the water cause problems with an Xcal ?

Grateful for any and all ideas/advice. I have done Caribbean islands with no issues, but I'm way out of my comfort zone on this one.

Research the types of finds coming from Great Salt Lake in Utah. It might be that with that high of a salt content, there may not be things worthy of finding using a metal detector.
