Detecting on Mackinaw Island?

Is Mackinaw island completely off limits to detecting? Headed up there next week and certainly don’t want to drag a detector around for nothing.

Go to the Mich parks service website and call the service line. Its allowed on Mich beaches but Mackinaw is maybe a special case.

Just so everyone knows, Mackinaw Island is closed to detecting completely. It’s a State Historic Site.
