Detector upgrade or not?

I have a Garrett GTAX 1000 that I have used for years. Would a Garrett GTP 1350 be much of an upgrade besides the backlit display or should I stay with what I've got and keep saving up for a PI?

The Garrett GTAX 1000 is a fine detector....even compared to what is available today. I would suggest you keep it and keep saving your $$$ for something newer.

Thanks, thats what I kind of thought. I just needed that second opinion to keep me on track.
