This is my grandson and he's come to stay with me on Fridays for about 3/4 of his intire life now, which he turned 3 years old this month. This is a toy I thought would help develop some new skills, which in a short time he pretty well got the hang of. It's definitely an improvement over his little plastic hand shovel at loading the haul truck in his little gravel pit under the grape arbor. The seats a bit high, as he's still about the size of a sack of potatoes, but he did what he could to get some good footing so he could move some dirt.

When you have computer or phone problems he will be your "go to" guy!:laughing7:
Maybe so, His mother is my oldest daughter. She's a nurse practitioner overseeing an 80 mile range of these small in store clinics that are now in the big retail grocery chains and said she'll be my physician when I'm old and on Medicare. This boy of hers is a natual born gear head I'm noticing, so no telling what direction that'll take him, but I find it absolutely a joy seeing him develop interest in whatever direction it takes him.

Mechanical aptitude is well on the way. Throw those computer devices away, as this young guy is getting along well.
Great photo's
Where did you buy that rig, as we have a little friend that this would be right up his alley of excavating the world.?

It was at a large Thift Store all in the original box, which was opened. I took a chance at $12.99 that all the pieces would be in it and they were. This is the box. Reeves Toys is the manufacturer. It's all metal construction except for the seat and grips. It's an excellent toy and seeing the delight on his face as he in a short time figured it out at getting the hang of it was worth more than anything. I pick up all kinds of toys I think he'd enjoy at the thrift store dirt cheap. Now it's time to take a bunch of the early ones I got back as he's outgrown those.

When I was little a playground near my grandmothers house had one of these in a sand pit. I thought it was the coolest thing I had ever seen at the time. Played on it for hours.
