I got a call yesterday: Do You own a detector? 
"...yeeees....one or two....."
A buddy gave my number to someone who was missing a ring. His wife lost it in front of his company. They were carrying carglass from a delivery through the snow inside. His company is close to the street with a parking lot with much of traffic so he couldnt wait till the snow is melting. The ring was lost on a way about 20 meters long and 2 meters wide...
This morning i fired up the truck and drove the ten miles to his adress. There was a lot of ice on the street covered with 2" of snow. Not very pleasant to drive. Both are waiting in front of their building. I got my XP and started detecting on the side of the building and the only signal i got was a manhole.
a little heavy to wear as jewelry.... Then i moved to the entrance area and got just in front of the door a nice signal.
I pinpointed it exactly, scratched a cross in the snow and let her dig her ring.
Hey! She was happy! If she didnt had ears she would smile all the way around...Christmas present one day early.
I took a few shots, got a bottle wine and some biscuits for me. My dog got a bone
That was a nice chunk of gold...and the diamond was a good size too...
