DIAMOND???

Went back to the basketball court again today. Didn't have the luck that I had yesterday, but I found this stone just laying there. I'm assuming because of the scratches that its not real, but I thought I'd post it and get your ideas.

It -is- real, just not diamond. The sad part is, the thing you want most to find is the thing nobody wants to lose! But its good eyeball practice anyway. Keep at it! I have yet to eyeball a loose diamond, but I know people who have! Mine have all been CZs.

In the future, any pawn shop has a device to tell if it's real. They will help you out. Good hunting...

If you can read newspaper print through it its not real.

Yep, I did some looking and found that only a diamond can scratch a diamond. I also saw the newspaper test. Thanks for the replies.

What type of stone could it be? Or would it be something lab created.

i think if you see green in them they are fake
