Got out yesterday for a quick one hour hunt. The ground was great, muddy but solid, easy to pull plugs. Found a Kwangtung Chinese Coin right here in Arvada, CO 4 inches down, very cool. The oldest coin I've found around here in the local parks.

Nice find. If you don't mind my asking. what park was that? Con found one of those near the Lowry area recently. I wonder what those Chinese coins are doing around here. I used to find them back in Ohio when I was a kid. BTW - I'm in Arvada too.

I forgot to mention I went to the soocer fields last night for almost an hour and found a gold toe ring. The ground was soaking wet like a sponge. I was hoping the rest of the week would be perfect for digging before it turns hard again.

I was in the North Jeffco Park in the open area east of the playground. It was crazy, I never expected to pull that out. I have never really had great luck there but it proves that you never know what you might find. Since you're out of Arvada as well we should meet up sometime and do a little detecting.
