Did South Jersey have more activity during the revolutionary war, than north jersey

Ive been dieing to find a revolutionary war regiment button, I’ve been reasearching in past 3 months, But no luck finding spots😞

Big question. Northern NJ had much more activity. The best bets in the south are to cross over into Pennsylvania and look in Chester County. The Battle of the Brandywine was fought there, and you'd have to find an approach or retreat route, or house to dig at.
