Did you ever think...

We have been plugging away at an old site that has sat as un developed land for many years. Getting some finds after the construction equipment, but all in a small area, this site should be much larger. So we decided to do a little recon. and sample the area more, it's really scrubby and vine-y so I had to look for clearer spots and try to get the coil in to check. Off to my left I saw an open little area by a tree, got in there and stepped on the open ground... Mm-mm weird.. like stepping on a sponge, moved off and back on to it ... not like anthing else in the area. No signal though, so good measure whipped the coil around the tree and got a hit ... scoop and it's a Ford ing. key very strange place for this to be, good measure swing the coil back over the hole .. signal ... ford trunk ( boot ) key, swing hit ... building key , and a key and a key and a key and ... 8 keys come out of that hole.. by five I was thinking body parts coming up next. I was very relived when the signals stopped, but now it stuck in my head that theirs something wrong with this patch of earth.
Any one else ever had this happen ?? , I expect the bulldozers will move into this area soon maybe that would be the solution to wait for them.
But it keeps bugging me.

so what your pretty much saying is you think it is tainted ground?? I have ran into more than a few places that have given me wierd feelings and make the hair on my kneck stand up.
My brother and I were just talking about something similiar today, while out detecting in a big woods recently that we often hunt we have found a few strange things, one thing we found thats not to creepy but strange is we have found what looks like old burials or something? dirt mounds about the size of a body that just seem so strange, when we both came across it made us wonder, 2 of them are in the same patch of woods and then there is another about 150 yards away across a creek and up on a hill
Another thing on the property that we did find that makes us both uneasy is two VERY old trees across from eachother that are dead, I dont know what it is about them but they just give us both an uneasy feeling, when we detected around them we had a good hit at the one tree and when we dug all we found was a couple old animal bones at the base of the tree..... THAT really did it for us!! lol

Yeah, my wife said the upper northeast corner of this land boarders what use to be low income housing that had a real bad reputation for drugs , before they cleaned it up / out a few years ago. This is a huge parcel of land (site)that's gone un used since the early 80's. Ariel photo from 99 shows it very dense with a couple dirt lanes and trails in it. Might have just be an old drunk cleaning out a key ring , but seems weird the only spongy feeling ground would be right there by all those keys.

When I was a cub scout oh about 9 to 10 years old, I and another scout witnessed a murder....we thought. We were in a campground near a beach with about 10 other scouts and a couple of scout masters. I never could sleep on these camp outs so me and Darrell set out around 2:00 AM to do some unauthorized exploring. A car pulled up near the beach with its lights out and just sat there for a few minutes. We crept closer to the car and heard what apparently was a struggle going on. We could very clearly hear a womans voice but couldn't make out what she was saying except that she was obviously distressed. Every now and then we could hear the mans voice uttering curse words like we had never heard before and the struggle grew more violent. Soon the woman started screaming and we ran to get our scoutmaster. He woke up the other scout master and armed with a flashlight and a club we all went back to the car and he shone the light inside. Only then did we see what the woman was screaming about as they were in the throughs of extasy! Boy did we get an education in that few seconds when the light beam hit their bare asses! I don't recall ever seeing that lesson in any of our scout manuals! Me and Darrell giggled for days about that episode and the scout masters made us promise not to tell anyone what we had seen. Up until the lights came on we just knew someone was getting killed! A couple of years later we learned what it was really all about and the mystery was solved.
