Found this little thumb wheel for a lamp with Benedict & Burnham Mfg Co on it. Did a little research on them and came up with this. B & B started making buttons for the war of 1812 and over the years had many names and partners. They started making all kinds of things and eventually formed Waterbury Button Co. Thought I would share the info.

Montana Jim...This is very cool. How many companies in the U.S. can say they have been in business for nearly 200 years. I would love to find some of these backmarks. Do you have any of the earlier backmarks?
