Park Pirate and I hit a park we haven't hunted in a few years in hopes of finding something other than Buffalo and V nickels. The park was void of any good high conductors. This place was full of pull tabs, beaver tails and iron. Not even any clad to be found. I dug 6 coins all morning. Two Buffalo nickels, two V nickles, a Jefferson nickel and one wheat cent. Somebody has cleaned out all the surface clad. Managed a couple pieces of jewelry also. Old nickel count now up to 61. V nickels #'s 19 & 20 and Buffalo nickels #'s 32 & 33 for the year. I setting my goal to get 80 old nickels before the ground freezes !

Hello Ed (Up State NY). Great finds, I especially like the cross. Anything on the back? Good luck out there. C9

still great work to find what you did, you guys really kill the nickles

I always dig slaw and beavertails and get discoruaged on nickel scrim. Nice finds guys.

Ya did good Ed seeing it's such a high trash park 61 nickels man that's a lot, you will get your 80 before the big freeze...

Those 6 coins can grace my hunts any time they want. Good luck on your goal Ed!

Nice finds! Beautiful cross!

Your doing great on the nickels. Around here in Spokane they are all toasty after a few decades

I have a tough time with nickels. I'm not able to get down and dig as many targets as I would like and most of the time I dig nickels they're pull tabs. So I tend to pass them up saving the knees for potentially better targets. I would LOVE to find a buffalo nickel though so perhaps one day all I will dig are nickel signals and skip everything else.

You wouldn't mind if it was 1913 v nic........lol I'll trade my lives silver for that

Looks like a good day to me.

Way to go guys. Nice finds. I was out for a few hours today here in NY, and it was hot and sticky!

Thank you for sharing your hunt and those pictures

A park with that many nickel signals, is a park that's hiding a gold ring or two. Nice finds
