Wanted to give the soccer field a days rest
so I went back to another park that did well for me a while back (the Virgin Park)..
Planned on hitting the soccer fields, as I had not done so in the past, but I found some good stuff on the volley ball field and could tell it had been used pretty good, so I hit it first.. Found another piece of a tennis bracelet I found last time. It is .925 gold plated with small diamonds. About a 2" piece. It was no where near where I found the larger part last time. Got some more clad from there too. Next, I hit the two tot lots. Found a bit of clad, and several pieces of jewelry.. A tiny 10k ring, either a baby ring, toe ring, or pinky ring.. Not sure. But it is gold! Also found a coin that has me puzzled.. It looks like a mexican gold coin surrounded by other metal, and one side is like a Mexican gold coin, but the other side has what appears to be a $1 symbol on it. I have never heard of anything but Pesos when it comes to Mexican coins, so maybe you folks can enlighten me?
Ended up with the various jewelry, and $2.98 in clad... No really old coins, 1971 quarter the oldest... Man, it was HOT! only 75, but 100% humidity, and I am used to the mid 50's... Good to get out again though..
HH to all!
