Different treasure hunt- 26 buffalo and 2 v nickles

Went to my uncles for Xmas eve. He has a house from the 1800s. He said I could check out his root cellar. I had a hit toward the corner, pretty big. About a 5 inches down , I dug up a metal box. In it I found a coin folder someone had buried long ago. 26 buffalo nickles along with 2 victory nickles . What a Xmas party!!!

I found my first V nickel Monday along with a Marine Corp hat emblem. I was excited with one. Great find.

You might want to hunt that root cellar very carefully - that large a box must have had you thinking plumbing pipe or something . Consider
the kind of thinking that went into stashing those nickels 5 inches down - this is the sort of person who may well have squirreled away
numerous other caches/stashes ! Could we have a look at the metal box too ? Nice score !!!!!

I left the box at my uncles . I hope to get back there at some point to do his yard in the spring. It depends on the winter, western n.h. seems to thaw later then the rest of the state.I thought it was a pipe alright.I might take my pinpointer there the next time and check the corners.
