Winchester Repeater 12ga shotgun shell, the paper is all gone.

I think this is a lipstic case or lip balm.

I ended up stopping by that area on saturday for only about 45 minutes, because I had stuff planned. I pulled 8 of those shotgun shells in a relatively small area, most were near the surface. Also, two wheats, and tons of pulltabs (and 2 more eating utensils...saving them for your collection, lol). I'd like to head out again this weekend, hope to see you there.
