There's a lot of that these days. They call it "progress". I call it "paving over history".Everything around here is destroyed with no fore thought.
Next to my work there are two fields that are being developed for warehouses. I know the developer, and asked permission to swing in the fields before it's paved over. They declined for fear the job would be shut down if I find anything. The fields are right along the old road from Nazareth to Belvidere NJ. There's probably a bunch of good things waiting to be paved over! There's a lot of that these days. They call it "progress". I call it "paving over history".
Interesting. I'll swing by Bushkill Park on the way back from Devils Cave Trail and see if "Inn" building is still there. I can check out William Penn Hwy for the other two later this week. I imagine they're all gone now though. The Morning Call

"1857" the Original tale was 1857Nothing prior to 1877 in the history of Northampton County for Devils Cave. Must have been named after that.
Oh yeah, the first article. I searched under the borough of Easton. Just searched Forks township, nothing there either."1857" the Original tale was 1857
I haven't been able to get out to what used to be the Devil's Cave. Ended up having to work late most of the week. Going to try for tomorrow or Monday.Interesting.
