well I went to the park today and decided to dig everything, I dug the normal can slaw, pop tabs, about a buck in clad, was about time to go and I said one more target then I have to meet my wife for lunch.

well I get this signal at 3" deep that bounced back and forth from zinc penny to iron, I almost did not dig it because I hated to end the day on a piece of trash, but I also knew IH pennies have been dug here before and my ace registers them as a zinc penny. So I dug it, and boy am I glad! I got this super shape 1898 IH penny and this rusty nail was RIGHT BESIDE it............goes to show you digging them all does pay off!!!

What a gorgeous nail. I've found quite a few like that myself. :icon_jokercolor:
That Indian head isn't bad either.
Nice one !

yeah the nail is pretty nice...lol

Nice I.H.! Your avatar one is, too.

Good 'target acquisition' by you and your machine.

Great find bro!!!

CONGRATS!!!!! !!!! !! The best finds seem to come from iffie signals

That's the way to do it brother  VERY NICE

uh oh that happens to me and i didnt dig :-\

Thats a good looking IH Goes
Those iffy signals are always worth digging.

Nice penny! I love indian heads.

Not long ago I detected a yard where I found two IHs. Strangely enough, I missed them the first time around as I skipped iffy signals, but when I dropped my disc down a notch and went over the same area the signals came out very clear.

Great find!

Those bouncy signals are hard, but have paid off more times than i will know (as i dont always dig em) Great recovery.

I would have to agree, my best finds this year have all been iffy signals.

Very nice work on the iffy's!!!!!!

G4E, Yesterday I dug a "iffy" on the Ace, it too turned out to be an Indian Head, although the condition was not as good as yours. Sometimes I think the soil composition can throw the target off and make it jump around. In Clay soil I will dig most "iffy" signals, especially the ones that register at 6" deep. HH  M.

Very nice job on the indian head penny! Man is it an oldie also! Not one of the newer 1900 indian heads. But an oldie! Congrats!
