Digging in yards/parks with sandy soil

Practicing in my back yard. Soil is pretty sandy in lots of places and down here there's a lot of that. Oh there's grass on top but immediately below is soft sandy soil. How do you cut "plugs" and such and "leave no trace" when you're 'tecting around places like that??

Mostly you can pop shallow coins out with a screw driver. Coins that are deeper where you need to cut a plug, cut a 3 sided one, fold it back and any dirt removed can be placed on a small sheet of plastic so all the dirt can be placed back in the hole.
