Digging my Gf's yard

I dug my girlfriend's new yard today. It is very small but managed a few things that weren't bottlecaps or pull tabs. A toy soldier, a button not sure how old (google lense only finds drawer pulls and you can clearly see the shank) and a small metal rusted thing about the size of a guitar pick.

Looks like I see rivet/nail heads on that heart shaped piece. Reminds me of a dog tag, but never seen a steel version. Could have been decoration on a jewelry box or other furniture…..but once again, those normally aren’t ferrous.

Maybe it was a small key cover for a padlock? Who knows 🤷‍♂️ in this area. 🤔

I see two nail/rivet heads, so I would t not have swung like a padlock cover. Is there a keyhole in the center under the rust?

It's to rusted but I don't see anything sticking out like that.
