Anyone ever see a button like this before? It seems to be an Indian woman with a shank on the back. Looks like they broke a hole in the dime then added the silver woman to the dime and melted them together.

Looks like the Indian Head, but used on a barber dime. :dontknow:

These can be made into jewelry. Here is a patent for popout buttons, hat pins and jewelry. You may have a rare Indian image. I have a Librerty half dollar popout.

I dug it. I just assumed that everyone knows things posted on this site is found with a metal detector. :dontknow:

Great find...

There have been a few similar finds on TN...but as I recall, they were pennies...

However, not everything posted on this site are found with a metal detector...some are eyeballed on the surface, others are barn finds, from a box of goodies, and the like...and some coins are from change from a retail outlet...

In fact, the more info a person can provide, including possibly the state, county or city also has a bearing on the identification...

I recently purchased a number of punched pennies with Abe Lincoln faces...
Go to post: "Raised Center Coins" (pop coins)...use search function at top of page...

There any number of denominations with various faces that were made from about the beginning of the 20th century to present time...
