Dime killer hour!

I had about an hour to kill this morning, so I figured I would give the Ace a workout. Went to a local ballfield where I had found silver in the past. Today was a no go on the silver but did manage to pick up 12 dimes, 10 pennies, a padlock, and what looks like a large fishing weight. Oh well, it was nice and cool and gave me a chance to get out. I wonder if anyone else is having a hard time finding quarters. They just seem to be a thing of the past for me. HH everyone and Good luck.

Congrats on the weight!
I had just observed last week that quarters were noticably light in my bag. Then I went to an old ballfield over the weekend and picked up 9 clad quarters, bunch of dimes, few nickels, and many pennies. All clad, all late 60's or newer. Last night another quarter.
So my quarter drought ended, hope yours does too.

I have studied fishing weights including Colonial Fishing weights. If you will reference my book on Colonial fishing weights you will find this particular weight is pre- Colonial. It is an easy mistake to make. Sometime when I have time I will explain the variant.
