Hi to All!
I had a great beginning of my metal detecting season this year. In May, my treasure hunting buddy and I made a discovery of a huge cache of the 16th century silver hammered coins. Created in the format for my web site, the story is too big to be posted here, so here is the link to it: http://metaldetectingworld.com/cache_hunting_p1.shtml
Not often one can read a full story on digging a coin hoard on the web. Here is an opportunity for you to see the process and read about it in details through my story with 160 pictures!
Happy Cache Hunting!

That is truly unbelievable... and what impressed me more is how you & Misha were careful to completely fill the hole back in... and then go to the extent of putting dry grass and a couple plants in the ground to bring it back to it's pre-dug state!!!
That certainly was the best example of treasure hunting I've ever seen!

Congratulations!!!

Way to go Sergei. Estonia is where my relatives come from. The picture in my profile would be my children great grandfather in Estonia waters.
Keep up the good work. :hello2: :headbang:

Just curious as to what kind of monetary value could be placed on this hoard? Also (I hate asking this part), but do treasures have to be reported to the government in that country?
Will you be able to legally sell these pieces off?
