Dissolving Clay

I have two 5 gallon buckets of blue clay I would like to pan. I don't relish the idea of breaking it down by hand. Anyone know of a cheap product that I can mix with it that will break it down? I have read about Clay be Gone but hope to find something less costly. All ideas are greatly appreciated!
