Louis, Jer and I headed out to one of our areas less trafficked large county parks. This one is about a 45 minute drive, which for us is a long drive to md, most are nearby in and around the city, but the 6:15am sunrise start allowed us to get our normal 4 hour hunt in and still make it back before our kiddos woke up.
This park has several mid 1800’s cellar holes that have been well pounded, but we found our share of stuff, never hunted out. Jer found a Matron LC and a sweet old Sterling bracelet that rang up like a shotgun shell, no wonder so many detectorists had passed it over and Louis found a big early batwing buckle and an early Dodge Bros badge. Here’s my take.

Well, this piece was my favorite. Mid 1800’s flat button, “Best Quality London” variety, but made into a 2 hole button.
I did manage to squeeze out a few coins.

This lead piece is interesting, almost looks like a toe tap, but lead would not have lasted.

I definitely got D’d up at this park.

A couple pieces of fancy brass, the one on the left is a lion.

Here’s the rest of the stuff, good luck out there!
