Metal Detecting
Last week my family an I were on vacation in FL. We spent the first 2 days on Captiva Island. I took along my AT Pro to do a little beach hunting. On Christmas day I took the ATP out to the beach and as soon as I started walking on the beach a woman ran up to me and asked me if that was one of those things that finds metal. She had a slight foreign accent. I said yes, it is a metal detector. She asked if it find gold, I said sure. She asked if I would please help her find her wedding ring that she had just lost. She knew about where she had lost it, and it was the second target I dug. She started crying as soon as I handed it to her. Her husband tried to give me cash, but I refused. It was Christmas Day, they were from Sweden, and it was their first time in the states. What are the odds that I just happen to walk on the beach with a detector 50 feet from where, and when, she is looking for her ring.

Here is a pic of me, the lady, and her daughter. The found ring (chunky white gold with about 6 little diamonds, on her left hand. BryanCaptivaRing 12-15.webp

Nicely done sir. You've done her and our "hobby" good service.

Very nice, Great job!

Nicely done. And I don't believe that it was a coincidence at all.
