Has anyone dove/snorkeled off McFadden Beach? I was interested in looking for fossils and points. Does it clear up enough in the winter to see and are there still sharks around during this time? Iā€™m newly scuba certified and have never dove saltwater. Iā€™ve found various fossils along the beach and was interested in finding the layer that they were washing out of.

thatā€™s a good plan but you need more training and experience in saltwater. There are far more things to consider, such as having a qualified dive partner, planning for current and tide, wind, rip currents, self rescue, etc. Every year we lose a diver to the ocean conditions. Find an experienced instructor then go get those artefacts. Good hunting.
