I could not find any marks anywhere! A friend said that it was to smoke illegal drugs, and the seller said that it was for smoking tobacco. What is it really for, and does it have any value? Thank you in advance! :-)

It's primary use is for smoking tobacco. It can be used for cannabis products like hashish mixed with tobacco. However, recently it has seen a resurgence with different type of flavored tobacco. Did the seller give you the hoses. If not replacement hoses are easy to find (at least in NYC) at Arabic smoke shops or bodegas. There are even Hookah bars where one can go to grab a smoke, coffee and conversation.
