Do you use a probe? What kind?

I like to use a probe when hunting. My current probe is an ice pick that I have, purposely, dulled the point on. Was wondering what else is out there or what might be available. Any suggestions?

Home made, golf ball and a 3/16 brass rod from Home Depot

I like it. Will have to try to make one. How did you secure the rod to the golf ball, some kind of adhesive?

gel super glue, Holds very well. just make sure you use the same size bit and drill 3/4 the way in. There is enough rod when you buy it to make 3 probes add a pack of golf balls your looking at most 8 bucks.

Use a screwdriver 1/8" dia shaft by 14" long with the tip ground down.
