Does anyone else do this?

After I finish my coffee I'm going back out into the front yard and go back over it at a right angle to my previous search. I've been doing this for years with various detectors, and always find stuff in a hole or very near a hole that I dug the previous day.

Yup ive noticed it helps to find stuff to alternate direction

That is called "gridding," and successful hobbyists have been doing it since the 1950s.. Good reminder though!
