Does anyone know if there are any claim rights in the waters off of Cocoa Beach?

I know you have to stay out of the waters on the Treasure Coast, but I want to know if Cocoa Beach was off limits. I would think the water out in front of Coconuts or Ron Jons would have a lot of lost jewelery.

The water there is not off limits, you can hunt it.

I personally don't care for hunting there, but that is just my personal preference and opinion. Beach is steep, not very wide, and personally I have never found anything there worth doing the happy dance about.

The area from the holiday inn in cocoa going south is a lease area.from there on north its open till you get around the cape inlet area,then north of that theres a lease.not much in the waters north of the holiday inn.around satellite beach i did find this nice 8 reale with chinese chop marks on the beach next to the dunes after our 3 hurricanes.

I hunt in the water at Cocoa regularly, never had a problem, have found rings and modern coin, but nothing Spanish. Have heard rumors of finds farther south near Satellite Beach.
