Does anyone know what this is?

I am a novice and don't know all the technical terms for rocks yet. This is brittle and was in a hillside with a lot of red dirt around it. Anyone got any ideas?

Yes, that there is a nice sample of gypsum. !

So then gypsum comes in many different shapes and colors. I think these are gypsum too, right?

Yes, it looks like you have some different variations of Gypsum. You can find it up here in Montana in the "Bad Lands'' It's usually found in the red and purple soil layers.

The last photo appears to be the Selenite variety of Gypsum.
