Don't find many of these...

Probably been a decade since I found a Standing Liberty Quarter. I can count the number I've found in a lifetime on one hand. So very happy to dig this one up out of the old park. She's well worn, but still beautiful in my eyes.

The standing liberties were made from 1916-1931. Everyone who wanted a job during WW1 had one. After a two yr slow down in ‘20 and ‘21, then comes the roaring twenties. Those quarters were workhorses of the US economy. Heavily circulated with a high relief design that didn’t wear well. 😩 The few in mint condition command a high price.

Congrats! It took me forever to find find my first, and in 15+ years of serious detecting I have found only three. I have found more Walking halves than SLQs!

No, they don't get found very often at all.
SLQ's are my favorite coins - I've only found (5) in my (18) years in the hobby.
I'd have to check my records but I don't think I've found one for at least (6) or (7) years.

Freaking Awesome! I've found two - Congratulations!

Congratulations on a nice find! I have found only one in 46 years of hunting!

Found a 1919, and hit it with the shovel.
Showed a buddy, another yelled "What you get"
Buddy tossed it across the field to where he was standing. 🤣

Over the last year I have found two. In my opinion these seemed to be carried in the pocket for good luck. Neither and in fact none I have found over the years have been over an inch in depth which indicates a "Fresh Drop."
