Last Saturday l got a new permission. It's on 18 acre property that use to be a orchard. Now it's a couple houses with very, very big yards and some woods. Owner gave me permission on the deal that if I find a gold wedding band to give it back to him. He said he had to change a hose on his tractor. Took the ring off and laid it on the tractor. Changed the hose and took off on the tractor forgetting about the ring. By the time he remembered it was gone. He told me this all happened in front of the barn where he thinks it might have fallen off. I went there last Sunday for a couple hours.... no ring. Went there Friday, 70 degrees, for a couple hours until a storm came thru and messed up our warm November... no ring. I went back yesterday, 40 degrees Brrrrr, and still no ring. I did manage twelve cents in clad. I also rescued a 52 Rosie and a tootsie roadster with all four wheels intact. Friday I plucked a 41 Washington from the ground. Last Sunday I seen something for the very first time in my life. It was big and shiney and had a eagle on it. My first half dollar, a 44 walking liberty. Talk about a big-O smile. A dinged up 39 Merc, a 44 Wheat and sixteen cents in clad. I've shown the owner everything that I have found including trash. He told me that was payment to keep me coming back to find his ring. I asked him to show me which way he went with the tractor and he smiled and said he will sometime when he's not so busy. I have a feeling this could take awhile.
PS I will figure these pictures out someday.
