I really like it but what is it? Found after work at a 1900's saw mill site. It is 1.5-IN long and looks to made of brass.

Well normally this is a "Scottish Rite" pin... err that is... with the pyramid "upright"...
Also known as a Scottish Freemasonry symbol...

This is what I said it is.
Not sure what the "inverted" pyramid verses upright difference is.

Maybe the pyramid is right side up and the eagles are supposed to be upside down.....or maybe not....

There is a 32 inside of the triangle, indicating the wearer was a 32nd degree mason. It appears to me to be a tie bar, with similar examples seen in this search:

I've been looking at images for the 32nd degree and found some with the pyramid inverted, but no explanation.

The upright triangle represents fire, upside down-water. All references to alchemy, an integral part of Masonic ritual. I called a lawyer I know who's a Mason.
