I believe Breezie is pointing out the circled words do not seem to spell 'In God We Trust' nor 'E Pluribus Unum'.
Anything else would be considered a fake or a souvenir IMO.

Exactly Don. I downloaded the pic and enlarged it, and immediately I thought it was a souvenir piece. I'd like to see a clear close-up of those words.

The border around the edge is not anything used on any US coin, the detail is too crude and it appears to be plated. I suspect it's a childs toy coin or as the others have said, a souvenir piece. Also just FYI, the term "double eagle" refers to a 20 Gold coin.

Here's another pic of from the same series Breezie noted--showing the 'In God we trust' motto.
1980 Intl Monetary Mint Miniature Sterling Silver 1878 CC Morgan Dollar Coin | eBay
Nice ID, Breezie !!
Don.......

Don, evidently the OP's coin is a toy one because it doesn't have In God We Trust like the one you posted from ebay. I can't see the letters, but it looks like Dr Oar Mark- - - -,which is probably not correct, but certainly not IGWT. I think we're talking to ourselves :laughing7: since the OP has not RSVP-ed.

It indeed says "In God we trust" with the "we trust" somewhat running together, looking like one word.

Enjoy!

LOL, you're right; after looking at it again with the we trust running together, I can see it. Where are my glasses? :laughing7:

The text style on a Morgan Silver dollar for "In God we trust" is different than your picture. I suspect it's a souvenir piece. May we see the other side?

Looks like you have something like these ($12 for 2 on eBay):
Morgan Dollars Two Double Tailed Coins Uncirculated | eBay

No date shown!
Not real silver nor are they two coins glued together!
Brand new milling!
Beautiful, uncirculated look!
Remember, you are bidding on TWO Double Tailed Morgan Dollars

These coins look and feel real! A trick coin that does not need to be marked with "COPY" or a similar word!

Maybe out of a toy magic set? The one you found doesn't appear to be as realistic as the ones on eBay (sorry)...
