After a bit of a drought, I went out to a new dig and snagged the 2 half dimes, about 3 feet apart.... Went with my pal Jeff to a new dig, and snagged the rest. Now, I was excited about the half dimes and all, and the largie and the indians were a treat, but I was SUPER STOKED over my first colonial shoe buckle.... and even better,,, it was intact!!!:hello2

Here's the group shot:

Here's a close-up of the dimes:

Great finds thatnks for sharing and congrats on the success.

That is a nice save on that buckle. How did you clean it? Looks like you have found a good site. I would work that area hard until you have exhausted it. Good luck and thanks for sharing.

WOW!!! Congrats on a GREAT day. Any one of those would have made my day!! :icon_thumright:

That's an awesome buckle and a rare find intact, but finding 10 IH's in one day is VERY impressive! I've only found 12 IH's this whole YEAR!

Unbefreakinlievable Man ! Wow !!! The buckle is Rockin hard ! and so are the two extremely early Seated Half dimes !
incredible day out - Actually I think this is BANNER worthy - The condition of the buckle + TWO halfdimes +the 1830 Large
plus the silver thimble - I'm all in !

Hey, Juno, this is splendid! :occasion16::wav::occasion16:

I second Argentium on the banner vote & just now put my vote in. What a day! You made the most of an incredible days' hunts with super pics & nice description of your finds. That 1838 half-dime looks barely worn at all and the buckle is awesome! Wow! Andi

Nice job on the coins, and the shoe buckle is awesome...

that buckle is beautiful!

Silver thimble too, were you digging in the snow, was it cold out? How did Jeff do?
Congrats, great finds, I'd be way more stoked over the half dimes then the buckle. Just goes to show how everyone's preferences are different. Your keyhole is a suspender buckle I think?
Should be allot more stuff there, good luck.

Wow:notworthy: you got my vote.

That complete shoe buckle is a great find. That is my favorite relic by far to dig up. I've been lucky to get 3 complete and some beautiful frames. Yours is a gorgeous example. The fact that shoe buckles basically fell out of style around 1800 make them only show up on fairly early sites.
These hunts don't happen too often so keep up the good work and hammer that site.

Amazing buckle, nice that it was fully intact, half dimes, indians, lcs, yes I'd say that is a great site, hammer that place before it becomes a frozen iceberg, congrats!

great job by you!

Digging that quantity of finds is a really good day of digging, congrats on the half dimes and coppers, but the shoe buckle is a choice relic find for sure.

Those coins are a real score - I saw them and got super stoked. Great years, old, and ones in excellent shape.

Nice saves!

awesome finds. love the shoe buckle!

Congrats on the silver! Great buckle!!

Great finds! Two half dimes in one hunt and that many Indian Heads? Amazing! Congrats.
