After a bit of a drought, I went out to a new dig and snagged the 2 half dimes, about 3 feet apart.... Went with my pal Jeff to a new dig, and snagged the rest. Now, I was excited about the half dimes and all, and the largie and the indians were a treat, but I was SUPER STOKED over my first colonial shoe buckle.... and even better,,, it was intact!!!:hello2

Here's the group shot:

Here's a close-up of the dimes:

And here's the buckle:

Here's a super tight shot of that 1838 half dime... was really crisp:

Silver thimble too, were you digging in the snow, was it cold out? How did Jeff do?
Congrats, great finds, I'd be way more stoked over the half dimes then the buckle. Just goes to show how everyone's preferences are different. Your keyhole is a suspender buckle I think?
Should be allot more stuff there, good luck.

jeff did well too, pulled his FIRST ever largie (1828) and 6 Indians on his own, plus some other good relics!

That is a nice save on that buckle. How did you clean it? Looks like you have found a good site. I would work that area hard until you have exhausted it. Good luck and thanks for sharing.

Thanks! The buckle I just used a little soap and water and very lightly used a soft brass brush on it.

Great haul, you have your own tribe now
