Doubled?

Searching change I found this 1997D Nickel.
The outside edge of the 7 and the D both look doubled.
Any and all opinions are welcome.

Due to the condition of the areas surrounding the Date and Mintmark, it is more than likely Die Deterioration Doubling. Also looks like a Die Gouge inside the Mintmark.

Clad and nickels are tricky.
For some reason they have more issues with areas looking like true doubling, that are not.
