Dove notched?

This was found by a friend of mine around 6 years ago in a field washout
from the Wilcat creek in Indiana. Three walked into the field and brought back
pockets full. A three foot ledge was also present in the field. This looks to be
unused. Any ideas what type it might be?

Is the base ground? It looks more Hopewell to me that a Dovetail. I'm curious what others will say.

No the base isn't really ground.

Thats a neat piece kinda looks like the blades i find with notches.
