Dowsing/Locators and cell phones

I've heard this from three different people that cell phones disrupt locating. I never thought this was the case, but now I feel differently. On a good day there might not be any difference, but marginal days I think it can be the difference between locating or not. It might depend on the person's body field. What I heard is to keep the phone at least three feet away. More than this I feel that there is a residual effect of up to fifteen minutes from the time you remove it from your body. I have other evidence but am not allowed to speak about it on this forum. The phone sends out a signal every few seconds.
