Went out to my favourite spot where I found s 1850 1/16 riksdaler two weeks ago. This time one of my dream coins finally popped up!!!

25 öre Oscar I 1856

Also found a 1/2 skilling 1809 copper. I never find this old cooper in woods, only pasture.

Old silver is great, especially the foreign ones.

Nice hunt and video! The silver is great, but I really like the half shilling. Congrats and good luck!

Killer old copper! :occasion14:

Excellent finds! These are actually coins on my bucket list in America. In the mid 1800's the lumber barons formed a land company to divest themselves of the land that had been logged. Thousands of Swedes, Finns and Poles were swindled into buying farmland that was stump covered and sandy. Not enough trees left to even build a house. But people in those days dealt with adversity much better. The soil was perfect for fruit orchards and most thrived.

Nice coin finds for sure. Thanks for sharing photos & video. Good luck on future hunts. :icon_thumright:

Very nice and welcome to TNet!

Silver spells fulfillment in any language!

Many happy returns!

Beautiful coin! If you don’t mind me asking, what makes it more special that than other silver coins you find?

It is very rare to find silver coins pre 1875 ish here in Sweden. So anything pre Oscar II really makes your heart pump! In 6 years I've found hundreds of small silver coins from 1870s-1968 but only about 10-20 pre 1875.

That's a beauty still on my buckets list
