This is from Indiana. It’s in a frame so it can’t be removed but any idea what type of drill this is? Can it be affiliated with a culture?

that could have been made during a long period of time...hard to pin down
 
I have many drills which have that form, found in Indiana.

What color is the material, the image looks white and grey, which is it? Is that from the flash?

From your penny scale it about 1.5 inches? Is that right. Median ridge?
 
Nice pencil drill. The culture is most likely know by the artifacts found in the same area......
