Went to the coin show today, never saw that much silver before! :o One guy had an 80 pound bar of solid silver. Some of the prices were kinda high, but I did get a bargain on 10 rolls of wheat pennies.

Here's a couple of pics, kinda fuzzy, sorry. Saw a few 1916-D mercs, and one guy had a few rolls of B.U. Kennedy's that had me drooling. He wanted $50 bucks each for the 1970 halves. But they sure were pretty.

i had the chance to buy a 1970 half dollar before in a 1970 mint set for $15. didn't have enough money though. :(

Were the '70 halves graded MS65 by PCGS?In the holder?

I see loose MS 1970-d's on ebay for $10-$20 range. Are these a huge bargain or was that dealer extremely high on them?

He was high on them. Some of those dealers probably brought home most of the coins they went there with. Some good deals were there though, I wish I would have had more spending $$$.

Forgot to mention, my son overheard a couple dealers talking, and they said they thought silver was going to take a plunge shortly, before rising again. Like a big plunge in a week or two. Time will tell, but it would be good to invest if we can get it kinda cheap in the weeks to come.

Here's the pile of wheat pennies we got. Sadly, about 5 rolls of 1941, a roll of '58, 40, and 41. A few misc. but not many. :P
