I'm trying to get some more info on this drooped wing cufflink I found yesterday at a late 18th century plantation. A few people have noted that it has 11 stars & could be related to the Confederacy. I had a friend say this eagle dates from about 1810-1830. Any insight is appreciated! I have no info, but that's a great find.

I'm not convinced it is a cufflink. Possibly a fastener for an epaulette or shoulder board.

Nice find!

Someone else suggested that. I don't think it's a cufflink after looking at it closer12650873_10153916467684375_4423066452619162292_n.webp12642834_10153916467659375_513409049233207826_n.webp

Plz post a slight angle pic of the back to show the shape of the fastener.

I'll have to do it later today. The 2 I posted earlier are the best I have for now.

Almost looks like it could have been a latch on an old doctors bag or something possibly.

Definitely a possibility, it's tough to nail down a positive ID on some relics
