Drought=A long period with no silver. Fine'ly scored.

I've been hitting the woods hard the last few months and not finding any old coins so I hit the area were there removing the sidewalks and putting in gas pipes. Also had competition with another hunter with a minelab. I don't know what he got from there but this is what I came away with. 1943 Washinton Quarter,1884 Liberty Nickel and 1911 Lincoln Cent.

Love the wood hunts, and only got skunked for the first time yesterday. Off to do some grazing land in an hour for the first time. Like you, it's time for a change.

Thanks artzstuff1. I've spent many years detecting in the worked out parks not finding much and quit for about seven years. After reading some of the post on here about woods hunting I thought I'd give it a try and I've done very well the last two years. Thanks to all the other treasure hunters who stayed out of these areas I was able to find some nice coins. I started woods hunting in 2007 and I'm hooked.

I've seen a lot of grazing land I would like to detect and just think no mowing involved.
