Hard to say. Maybe she was drunk, or maybe she was running to get away from the dude and thought this was a good ploy to get help. Either way, it didn't work.

Yea I thought the Same about Him.
He seemed to Be afraid of the trucker waiting around.
Considering she was sprawled out, her health should have been number one !
